Not jetting off to an exciting destination for spring break?
Don’t worry; there is plenty to do in Georgia for spring break that can be just
as fun!
The Georgia Aquarium
The first thing to check out is the Georgia Aquarium. It was
named the largest aquarium in the world when it first opened in 2005. There you
can check out the more than 100,000 animals housed at the aquarium. You can
visit the whale sharks and beluga whales! While there, you can catch the short
film “Dolphin Tales,” which is a feel good film about marine life.
Six Flags Over
Georgia
Feeling adventurous and want to do something that gets your
adrenaline pumping? Check out Six Flags over Georgia! There, you will find
rides for everyone. If you are an adrenaline junkie, like myself, then you
should ride the Georgia Scorcher! If you feel like flying you should ride
Superman: Ultimate Flight. Think those rides are too much to handle? There are still
rides for you! You can check out the Marthasville Railroad Station and get a
great tour of the park. The park opens on March 15th 2014, and you
can purchase tickets online for $39.99 or at the park for $59.99.
Stone Mountain
Ever been to Stone Mountain? If not, this is a great place
to check out during spring break! There is so much to do and you can do it all
for the price of $24.95. You can ride the Summit Skyride to the top of the
mountain and enjoy a breathtaking view of the city of Atlanta! Want to be a
little more active? You can head over to SkyHike, where you can hike through a
treetop course! Not feeling the heights? Don’t worry, you can take a nice
leisurely ride on the Scenic Railroad and get a great view of the park!
Centennial Olympic
Park
Feel like just chilling in the sun? Head over to Centennial
Olympic Park and play a game of Frisbee or soccer or have a nice picnic. The
park is open daily from seven in the morning to eleven at night! Pick a sunny
day during the spring break and head on down to the park!
Lake Lanier
Can’t make it to a real beach in Florida? Don’t worry, Lake
Lanier provides a great man made beach for everyone to enjoy! Located about
forty-five minutes from Kennesaw, there is plenty to do at Lake Lanier! You can
relax on the sand and get a nice tan, or you can rent a boat and head out on
the water for some fun! Whatever you choose, Lake Lanier is a great way to get
that beach feel without having to travel far!
There is plenty to do in Georgia for spring break. All you
have to do is some research, get a group of friends, and have an awesome time!
I hope you all have a safe and enjoyable spring break, no matter where your
destination may be!
