I don’t know about you, but when it comes to studying, I simply can’t stay in the confines of my room or the library. Over my three years of living on campus at KSU, I have found many favorite places to study! Below I have listed just a few.
Owl Space
Owl Space is
conveniently located on the basement floor inside the Horace W. Sturgis Library
on campus. There are individual study rooms, comfortable booths, whiteboards
that are great for group studying, and wireless internet access. Need a snack?
A break room is located downstairs as well, with an espresso machine, snack
machine, and soft drink machine! Need to print something? The printers are
located in the lab on the first floor of the library! If you haven’t checked
out our library, you’re missin’ out!
Campus Green
The campus
green is one of my favorite parts of campus because it’s so beautiful! There’s
nothing like getting outside to prep for finals. One of the greatest things
about studying on the campus green is there’s all-campus wireless internet! I
love to grab some snacks, my laptop, and textbook as I study comfortably in my
hammock. If your final is on the same day that your studying on the campus
green, it’s just a walk away since you’re already on campus. It’s a win-win!
Copper Coin
Located
right in the heart of downtown Woodstock, Copper Coin is my favorite place to
go. It’s far enough from KSU to get away to clear your head but close enough so
that you’re not driving too far. Copper Coin has delicious coffee and treats, a
variety of seating options, many outlets to charge your laptop as you work, and
a conference room if you need a quiet space to work with some buddies! For me,
if I become stir-crazy while studying, window-shopping downtown is the perfect
study break.
Never feel
as if studying is the biggest, most boring chore. It’s what you make it! These
were just a few of my favorite study spots. What will be yours? So, whether
studying in a coffee shop, in the library, or outside on our beautiful campus,
the options are endless! Happy studying, Owls!
