Summer Break Tips for the Wayward Soul

When it comes to planning  for the summer I can say that I have a little experience. And through the ups, downs, set dates and turn-arounds; it boils down to one solid question: How do you want to spend your Summer Vacation?

This question can be have multiple connotations. It could determine if you want to play the role of mother hen, who corrals all her little chicklings and keeps the ship afloat and dealing with all the emotional and relational strain that comes with that… Or you can ride through the weeks solo-dolo and be as efficient or lazy as you choose. But if you do submit to the status quo and decide to plan a group trip or activity, then don’t be fooled into thinking that you can shirk any and all responsibilities and “just have a good time”. Someone has to take charge of the situation and make sure everything runs smoothly, so why shouldn’t it be you? You’re already taking some initiative by reading this article anyway, might as well take up your mantle and make the best situation out of it!
So, for the Average Joe looking for summer vacation planning pointers, here is your main issue…but before I bestow this golden nugget of wisdom on you; a riddle. What is something needed to have real fun, but nobody has enough of? That’s right boys and girls, money. Money, is the root of all evil, has some negative properties to it. It will be the basis of all your troubles, so be reasonable and work with the limitations of everyone in your party. Budgeting and planning every day is a great ( and super organized) way of making sure no one goes home in the red. Also, if you’re smart, look for ways to gain some of that precious moolah while you’re out with your amazing talented friends.

The last and probably most important pointer of this enlightening post is to employ diplomacy. Hear out everyone’s desires, no matter how stupid, and put them into serious consideration when it comes to making the trip’s agenda. This is not just your vacation, so try to make it memorable for everyone.
I hope you have gleaned a few helpful tips and pointers for your Summer Vacation plans. Remember: it doesn’t  matter what you’re doing as long as you’re doing it with those you love.

Make beautiful memories!
